If your account has been compromised/hacked/stolen you will need to check and fix at least ALL of the following things, including the password change. Go to your Gmail Account, Mail Settings Log in, and click on your mail settings in the upper right hand corner (the little gear).
Do the following, according to a Google expert: Account Security: Settings - IMAP Access [disabled] STEP 2: Review and Clean Up.
